Bali Meetup Tour

Bali is the best combination of gorgeous tropical beaches and exploring a deep culture with warm locals. With instagrammable views, the freshest fruits you’ll ever eat and relaxing days on the beach, you will never forget your time in Bali!

We experience all of it from selfies under a waterfall to getting to know local women, being invited into a family temple, and learning to cook traditional Balinese food.

Our adventure starts with exploring the beaches on the south end of the island where the best shopping and nightlife live and then we go to famous Ubud. There we connect with our local friends and take a deep dive into Balinese culture.

Sleep off your jet lag this morning and meet the group in downtown Canggu when you’re ready. You can stop along the way for a whole coconut to drink, start shopping, get a massage or mani/pedi, or people watch in a café. We’ll have a few hours to relax before we head off to visit Tanah Lot Temple, also known as The Sunset Temple. Meals: breakfast, lunch

Day 3

Have a lazy morning by the pool with good coffee and a hearty breakfast. We’ll be heading off to the beach in Kuta for a surf lesson!

These lessons are two students to one instructor, so you don’t need to have a clue what you’re doing (but you do need to know how to swim). Take the afternoon to hit the spa, stay at the beach, hang by the pool, or whatever you want until we go out for a night in Seminyak. We will start with sunset on the beach at Potato Head and see where the night takes us. Meals: breakfast

Meet our friends, local women who will show us how to make a Balinese offering, tell us what it means, and why they do it. Offerings have deep cultural meanings and are apart of a Balinese woman’s everyday life. After you make your own offering full of fresh flowers, we will be invited into a private family temple for a private mini-lesson about the symbolism of the statues and alters inside. We’ll then enjoy a traditional Balinese feast with a beautiful jungle view.

Day 5

Get your cameras ready, because this afternoon’s views are epic.

We will go for a walk on Campuhan Ridge overlooking jungle and rice fields that go on for days. The path will bring us to Ubud Center where you can visit Monkey Forest, grab a bite to eat, check out the shops, people watch, stop for a chat with a local, and come back to the villa whenever you like! Meals: breakfast, lunch

Day 6

We’ll beat the crowds at the famous water temple, Tirta Empul. Our own local guide will bring traditional offerings and teach us the deep spirituality of Balinese Hinduism.

We’ll likely get to go to a part of the temple that tourists are not allowed because we will be dressed in a traditional sarong with covered shoulders and we will be lead by our guide.

Don’t take off those bathing suits yet, because next we are going for a walk and a dip in Tegeuangan Waterfall. If you love a good nature walk, you can also head down one of the paths near the waterfall and climb to reach some beautuful views. Otherwise, there are stalls with local snacks like coconut water, cassava chips, beetroot chips, grilled corn, and exotic fruit to snack on before or after your dip under the falls.

Tegallelong Rice Fields are not to be missed and they are next up. Here you can indulge in an over the top milkshake with a beautiful view or keep it healthier with tons of options from Western to Balinese. Give a small donation to walk through the fields and hop on a famous swing (optional) for some of the most Insta-worthy photos.

After this, the evening is yours to relax at the villa or head out on the town. Meals: breakfast

Day 7

We have a beautiful drive up to Mt. Batur, but on the way, we will stop for a coffee tasting where we will get to try different kinds of teas and coffees all made in Bali.

Once we get to the top, we will stop for some photos before the hot springs! These springs are natural, with many pools from warm to steamy hot, and the view is incredible! Spoil yourself with some cocktails or a massage and soak up some sun.

The late afternoon and evening are free to try a nice restaurant, gaze at the stars, cook in the villa, or wander around lively central Ubud. Meals: breakfast

Day 8

This morning and early afternoon are yours to hang by the pool, explore more of Ubud, grab some last minute souvenirs, sleep in, or whatever you like!

After our class, we will head out together for a last drink together before we give into our food coma. Meals: breakfast, dinner
